Jim and I would like to invite you to stop in and visit us at our store in Dassel or at
our new store in Hutchinson. We'll be happy to help answer any questions you
have about attracting and feeding birds in your backyard.
Jim has a background in wildlife management and ornithology from his college
course work at South Dakota State University, Brookings and we have both
enjoyed backyard bird feeding for many years. We came up with the idea for a wild
bird feeding store after exploring several ideas for diversifying our family business.
We finally decided on the bird store idea because we, like many others, were
driving 60+ miles to go to bird stores that carried better quality bird feeders. So
in April 2008, we opened Wild Bird Specialties for business.
Wild Bird Specialties is a subsidiary of Northstar Willys Inc. We have owned and
operated Northstar Willys, Inc. since 2000, providing parts for vintage Jeeps to
Willys owners around the world.
